Week 4- I almost didn’t go to Belfast
So this trip started off a little bit rough. It was Nick and I’s first time flying through Ryanair (you will use it all the time, trust me). We arrived at the airport about an hour early, but we didn’t expect it to be so busy there for a Tuesday morning! We ended up missing our flight and we were so sad that we almost turned back and went home.
However, I was not going to just give up so easily and we booked a flight to Dublin and a bus to Belfast for a few hours later. Best decision of my life.
I would venture to say that Belfast has the most beautiful coast that I have ever seen in my life. We took a Game of Thrones tour (I’m a huge fan) and we visited a few sites where they filmed the show. The landscape is so beautiful and it almost felt unreal being there. It was the middle of the week, and we were lucky that the weather was perfect and it was not busy at all.
Of the places we saw, my favorite was walking along a rope bridge between two huge mountains along the coast. The suspense of being so high above the ground and the beauty of the landscape will never escape my memory. It is one of my favorite places that I have seen to date and I hope everyone visits this place at least once in their life. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
